Mr. Personality

Life is getting busier! LJ turned 9 months old yesterday...it is hard to believe! Even if he were born when he was supposed to be, he would be 6 months old...crazy. Since I last updated, LJ went through round 2 of RSV. Again, right after he was healthy enough from the first round to go back to church. We have since been told to keep him out of church for awhile longer. He also ended up with herpangina a few weeks later. Herpangina is the same virus that causes hand, foot, and mouth disease, but it is just in the mouth. I am sure he had something in his mouth at the Y. It was worse than the RSV...fever, blisters in his throat, just awful. He wouldn't eat or drink, so we were giving him his formula from a syringe. It became a full time mission trying to figure out how to keep him hydrated, but we made it through. That was 2 weeks ago...he has been great since then. We are setting records now!
It amazes us that through everything our little guys goes through, he has remained one of the happiest babies I know. He doesn't cry unless he is sleepy, he smiles at strangers (especially men), he loves to play with the other babies in the play center at the Y...a few weeks ago, he even started crying when I picked him up to bring him home! It made me feel bad, but I am happy he enjoys it so much! He is as laid back as he can get.
LJ still loves his solid food most days, but he seems to have days where he just isn't hungry...I guess we all do! He loves his puffs. He seems to want to eat his meals, just to get some puffs at the end! LJ has also decided he wants to feed himself...he wants to hold the spoon. Food flying everywhere has become the norm. He wants less formula and he gets antsy before he finishes a bottle. I figured out the other day and he likes to try to drink it out of a sippy cup instead...whatever works. He has 6 teeth now, so he is figuring out how to use them! I do believe I was the first to get bitten.
LJ is still not crawling, but he sits up well, and he rolls all over. When he tries to get to something he can't reach, he ends up spinning in circles trying to move forward. He is getting frustrated with it, so I am thinking that crawling or scooting is somewhere in the near future, or I am hoping!
LJ is wearing 12 month clothes now. He is probably right over 20 pounds...he was up and down in weight when he kept getting sick. He babbles ALOT....even through the night! He thinks peek-a-boo is great. His Daddy is the funniest person that ever lived. The dogs are a close second in the funny factor. He loves to cuddle with me, and he could sit and read stories all day long. He is getting quite a personality, and is going to be stubborn, and he is all boy!
LJ will take his first plane ride over Labor Day to go see Grandma and Grandpa Sullivan and family...we are excited to go, but I am a little nervous about the plane. I have a few months to get over it :)
LJ at breakfast...he is a moving target.

However, during playtime, he passes out...go figure :)

Teeth!

LJ loves playing with the singing Valentine's Day monkey from Grandma and Grandpa.

Trying anything to get fluids in when he was sick.

LJ looks up to Costco.

Hugh G. Bear doesn't seem quite as big anymore.

LJ loves the swing, but hates the sun...he has since gotten his own sunglasses.

Since LJ was sick on my Birthday, Matt made me a cookie cake and  we  all cuddled up.
On another note, our old house finally got a good offer! It is supposed to close Monday...fingers crossed! However, the final paperwork has been approved by all parties, so it should all work out. Again, it is bittersweet, but we are happy to be released from it.
